FIXED TERM MEMBERSHIP POLICY
Welcome to the Rock Fam! We are thrilled to have you climbing with us. Below you will find the full explanation of how your membership works
General
All Rock Island memberships are prepaid and fixed-term.
Your membership will automatically end on the final date of your chosen duration — no cancellation needed.
Fixed-term memberships do not renew automatically, so there are no unexpected charges.
Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Only 12-month memberships can be frozen.
Memberships are personal — they can’t be shared or used by anyone else.
We may adjust our pricing, benefits, or terms in the future, but you’ll always receive at least 15 days’ notice before any changes take effect.
Suspension and Termination
To keep Rock Island a safe, respectful, and positive space for everyone, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel memberships if:
A member breaks gym rules, causes disturbances, or behaves inappropriately.
A member provides false or misleading information (e.g. name, age, or ID details).
Serious or repeated violations may result in a permanent ban from Rock Island.
Freezing (Available for 12-Month Memberships Only)
You can freeze your membership up to 2 times, each for a maximum of 30 days.
There’s no freeze fee.
During a freeze, you can still purchase day passes or multi-entry passes at regular prices (discounted rates don’t apply).
All member perks — like guest passes, and retail benefits — are paused during the freeze.
Freezes cannot be backdated, and the number of frozen days will be added to the end of your membership.
You can request a freeze through our front desk or via [insert Rock Island member portal/WhatsApp link].
In case of injury or illness, you may request a compassionate freeze — we may ask for supporting documents.
Gym rules
Please follow our gym rules to keep the space safe and enjoyable for everyone:
Always check in before climbing or entering the climbing area.
Be respectful toward others — both on and off the wall.
Keep the mats clear of bags, bottles, or objects.
No glass, food, or open drinks are allowed in the climbing area.
Know your limits and climb responsibly.
The use of alcohol, drugs, or banned substances is strictly prohibited inside Rock Island.
Operating Hours
We do our best to stay open and consistent, but sometimes we need to make adjustments:
Hours may change for cleaning, maintenance, or special events.
Parts of the gym (or the entire facility) may occasionally close temporarily — refunds or extensions cannot be offered for these short-term closures.
In the rare case of emergencies or natural disasters causing closures longer than one full day, all memberships will be automatically frozen for that period.
